One of the most important jobs of any housewife is preparing food for her family.  Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, day after day after day.  While it is lovely to use all fresh ingredients, peeled, grated, and chopped by hand, sometimes we need a shortcut! 

Canned foods can present exactly that shortcut, but only if the product inside has a delicious taste, perfect texture, and beautiful color.  We want to add convenience to our lives, but only if it means we can still serve our families the very best.

In the “Canned Foods” category, Holly Housewife will mention canned foods that will be a great addition to your pantry.  The first of these is Dill Green Beans by Del Monte Specialties.  They can be found in the canned vegetables section of the market, near the “regular” canned green beans.  These beans have a fantastic dill flavor, and don’t require any extra seasoning.  They are ready to serve right out of the can cold, or quickly heated in the microwave or on the stovetop.  There is some sugar added, but since it is real sugar and not high fructose corn syrup, Holly Housewife feels comfortable serving them to her family.
